  NOTHING NEW IN THE NEW LAW FOR SOCIAL PROTECTION

The working group did not consider the proposals of PORAKA, which were submitted to the Ministry of Labour and Social policy on several occasions during the creation and during the revision of the draft – law in the previous years...

 FROM THE PARTNERSHIP OF PORAKA IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE EUROPEAN PROJECT "UNIQ" REALIZATION OF THE TEST-PHASE OF THE MODEL "NUEVA" IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC

The project is supported by the European Commission programme Progress, and its main goal is transferring the model for evaluation of services, which is developed by ATEMPO, in three European countries: Czech Republic, Norway and Germany. The model “Nueva” is an innovative approach that provides persons with intellectual disability to conduct evaluation of the services, which they are attending.

  FORMAL OPENING OF THE NEW FACILITIES OF THE DAY CENTER – PORAKA OHRID

In front of large number of associates, supporters and friends of PORAKA Ohrid, on 30th of March 2009, the Mayor of Municipality of Ohrid, Mr Aleksandar Petreski, formally opened the new facilities of the day center – PORAKA Ohrid.

  PARTNERSHIP IN IMPLEMENTATION OF THREE EUROPEAN PROJECTS

For the Republic Center – PORAKA, the opportunity to participate as a partner in European project is of utmost importance due to liaisons and creation of partnerships with organisations from the region and from Europe, as well as for gaining knowledge and experiences regarding new innovative approaches in the work with persons with intellectual disability, that would be adapted and implemented in Republic of Macedonia.

  OPEN DOORS FOR DIFFERENT IN THE UNITED EUROPE

As a partner of the organization “Ucilisno nastojatelstvo – Resursen centar Pazardzik” from Bulgaria, Poraka realized an international exchange of experiences within the project “Open doors for different in the United Europe”.

  REVIEW OF THE UN CONVENTION ON THE RIGHTS OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

The Republic center for support of persons with intellectual disability – PORAKA prepared and published brochure for the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The aim of this brochure is to inform the public, especially persons with intellectual disability and their families regarding the rights foreseen in this Convention.
