New premises for the Day Center in Ohrid
The Day center of PORAKA in Ohrid is located in the collective building with apartments, with total space of 60 m2. The premises have two rooms, kitchen and toilet. As the program activities in this day center were developing and the number of the users was growing up, the need for bigger and more adequate facility become essential need. The members of PORAKA – Ohrid were continuously emphasizing this need in front of the local authorities in Ohrid. Thankfulness to the successfully established cooperation with the local authorities and with the Major of Ohrid- Mr. Aleksandar Petreski, a solution for this major issue has been found.
At the end of 2007, Municipality of Ohrid gave a new premise to be used for Day center by PORAKA Ohrid. The new premise (200 m2) is located within the regular elementary school “Bratstvo – Edinstvo”, with separate entrance and is consisted of two big rooms for activity, kitchen and dining room, two toilets, two hallways and a storeroom. The premises were not used for a longer period, therefore complete reconstruction and adaptation is ongoing at the moment.
