Macedonian Telecom supported the activities of PORAKA with donation

Since 2009, the Republic center for support of persons with intellectual disability – PORAKA started with implementation of the new program activity for computer training and development of potential of the users of day centers and social clubs, through educational computer software of PORAKA.
Development of this activity mostly depends on the possibilities to provide computer equipment. In the past period, PORAKA undertook several actions to provide the needed equipment.
As a result of this, Macedonian telecom AD Skopje, one of the biggest and most successful companies in Macedonia, donated to PORAKA 60 personal computers for realization of program activities in the local branches, day centers and social clubs for persons with intellectual disability that are functioning in the network of the Republic center – PORAKA.
The PCs are used for improvement of the practical and cognitive skills of the persons with intellectual disability – members of the Republic center - PORAKA in the local branches from 15 municipalities. Also, the PCs are used for regular administration activities in the local branches of PORAKA.
Distribution of the PCs was realized according the needs of the local branches and according the number of the members – users in the day centers and social clubs of PORAKA.    

We express our gratitude and appreciation to Macedonian Telecom AD Skopje for the given support, hoping that the established cooperation will be continued. At the same time, we invite the business community in our country to follow this positive example of social responsibility, which represent a great contribution in the process of equalization of the opportunities for persons with intellectual disability.
